Kookaburra Retreat by Tiny Away | House in Arcadia
1 Bedroom House in Arcadia
Summary:
Arcadia settles over you gradually, with the wide sky, the sounds of country life, and the kind of peace that arrives when the city finally stops following you. At Kookaburra Retreat, our holiday homes sit quietly within that stillness. Native wildlife moves through on its own schedule. Time slows down out here, and after a day or two, so do you.
This is the kind of tiny house where rest stops being something you plan and starts becoming something you feel. #TinyHouseVictoria #Holidayhomes
The Space:
Kookaburra Retreat sits in a quaint corner of the property, framed by tall gum trees and open paddocks where horses graze at their own pace. The view from our tiny house is part bushland, part wide-open farmland, and it has a way of pulling your attention outward and slowing everything down.
Our holiday homes are compact without feeling small. Everything you need is within reach, and what surrounds it does the rest of the work. Morning light filters through the gums. The sounds are mostly birds. Occasionally, a horse wanders closer than expected.
You are in Arcadia, tucked into the kind of countryside that doesn't ask anything of you. The city of Shepparton is only 15 minutes away, which means the Australian Botanic Gardens Shepparton, the Shepparton Art Museum, and the Shepparton Moooving Art trail are all genuinely close.
The 139-square-foot tiny home includes water access, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking gear, and a private bathroom with a gas-heated shower, hand basin, and eco-friendly cassette toilet.
Guest Access:
Guests are welcome to enjoy the tiny house and the surrounding area. A welcome guide inside the tiny house covers all areas of the property, along with a curated list of activities and a dedicated walking trail of reflection. The horses are friendly, so feel free to say hello.
The Neighborhood:
Kookaburra Retreat by Tiny Away sits in Arcadia, a quiet agricultural corner of Victoria surrounded by working farms, open paddocks, and the laid-back pace of the Goulburn Valley.
Just 15 minutes away, Shepparton offers plenty to explore, from the renowned Shepparton Art Museum and the riverside walking trails of the Australian Botanic Gardens Shepparton to the colourful Shepparton Moooving Art trail featuring more than 90 artist-painted fiberglass cows. Closer to the retreat, the Arcadia Native Fish Hatchery is also worth a visit.
