Welcome to Kodu, our stylish, serene Sellicks Beach retreat. Located on the esplanade, directly across from the beach, Kodu offers easy access to the sand and sea. The rear of the house overlooks the Sellicks Hills, creating a peaceful escape immersed in the area’s natural, rugged beauty.
Ideally located:
- 5-min walk to the general store
- 5-min drive to the stunning Berg Herring Cellar Door
- 10-min drive to Aldinga’s shops & cafés
- 20-min drive to McLaren Vale wine region
The space
Originally built in the 1970s, this house was our grandmother’s retreat, and she lovingly named it "Kodu"—which means "home" in Estonian. We’ve embraced its stylish foundations, blending vintage character with modern comforts to create a warm and inviting space for your getaway.
We hope you love the tranquility and charm of Kodu as much as we do.
A few things to note:
Like most homes in Sellicks Beach, Kodu operates on a septic system. If a lot of water is used at once, purple sprinklers in the backyard may activate. This system is an environmentally friendly on-site treatment of wastewater.
Guest access:
You'll have access to the entire house, except for the shed, which is off-limits.

We are currently making improvements to the outside space and landscaping works are underway. We also have ancillary accommodation being built in the backyard. Whilst we will ensure minimal disruptions during your stay, we have decreased the price until the works are complete.
