Summary: The Ocean View Inn is a fine stay. We just needed a pet friendly room for the weekend while we had a wedding just a stone’s throw away in Asbury. It is located in a beautiful neighborhood with plenty of restaurants, Victorian homes, and the boardwalk. While I only saw the staff when checking out, they were very helpful in helping us check-in. The room is a bit small for what you’re paying for. The hotel has its charm, but also has some drawbacks. No headrest on the bed, being pet friendly the room certainly had the faint scent of urine (my dog didnt help), and the view from our window was the torn up rooftop terrace. The sister Ocean View building across the street did look a lot nicer and more recently renovated. If you need a home base for a shore getaway or just a pet friendly spot for a few nights, the Ocean View is a decent choice.
