Summary: We stayed here for 2 nights and all I can say is I was extremely disappointed by this hotel. I had emailed ahead to say we were staying for my boyfriends 30th birthday so if something could be done on arrival that would be great, we entered the room and there was nothing, so that was disappointing especially that the hotel is now apart of ALL chain, you would think they would have something in place for it. (Our next hotel had a box of celebrations and small bottle of champagne to compare) we arrived back from dinner on Friday night to find ants in the bath and an ant in the bed!! The next morning, I went down to reception to inform them, assuming a room change would be offered because there was an ant in our bed! I’ve worked in hotels on the front desk and never would I keep guests in a room if they complained about this so that was the most disappointing. I was asked if it would be okay for someone to come up and spray the room, which I agreed and asked if the bed sheets could also be changed because of the ant, I was told of course. This was at 9:30am. We arrived back to the hotel at 1:30pm after being gone all that time, to a knock on the door when we only entered the room 2 minutes. It was house keeping saying they were there to change to sheets. Why this couldn’t be done all that time while we were gone was mental. Barely got an apology for the situation. Would not recommend this hotel, it’s very outdated especially the carpet. Was a big disappointment.
